The story begins as young Roop deals and fights with patriarchal society. Roop is an eight-year-old boy who enjoys cooking, sewing and washing. However, his father, Shamsher, felt that such work made him less manly and advised him to stay away from the women in the house. In order to keep him away from the women, Shamsher finally sends him to a military boarding school, far from home... The story progresses as years later, Roop meets Ishika and falls in love with her...
